Writing Words

This blog is for those who like to write letters, poems, short stories and novels. Write! And fix later! The point is…get to writing.

You can join various book clubs on-line or in your own city. Once you are in the groove, you will find like-minded people to share your writing with and bounce ideas off from each other, besides that you’ll find friends.

Writing words is more than just placing them on paper. It’s a commitment. It’s also a journey up a path of wonderfully creative thinking. Placing the just right words where they belong to describe a person, a place and an event is the goal. For me, it is an honorable thing to write Christian anything. It allows me to express, create and exercise my biblical learnings. Research comes if you intend to write about a place, a time in history or something you want to put into the story. Therefore, you learn. That is the reward for the moment.

The next reward comes when another person finds enjoyment in what you have written. Everything seems right in the world. Others won’t be so entertained, but who cares…you wrote and they didn’t. If they do write, maybe they had criticism and had to take it out on someone. I’ve had it, and every author who writes has had it. Ernest Hemingway, one of the most famous American authors and journalists, had plenty which included his personal life. Charles Dickens, one of the greatest novelists and critics in the Victorian era, gave us some of the greatest fictional characters of all time. He all people some of the world’s greatest stories because he was a literary genius. His early life deeply affected his writing. One of sadness, yet out of the ashes came a beautiful mind. Every author has different backgrounds and lives of which they drew from for their writings for inspiration. Their minds began igniting from something in their own lives and they kept writing because it’s what they loved doing.

Research your favorite, or famous authors and you will find not all had beautiful and comfy backgrounds. Jane Austin, the infamous author of my favorite and timeless Victorian novel, “Pride and Prejudice,” was extremely ill at an early age and was eventually bedridden and died at an early age. This young woman’s life alone is an inspiration!

I chose to write Christian everything because I hope to form a basis that will touch people with the word of God and show them how God can work in their life. I try to always include scripture, and lessons from the Bible, even though it’s fiction. Faith in God, our heavenly father is paramount. Every character has faith, is exposed to it when they don’t have it, and some eventually find that comforting faith.

Hopefully, someone who needs a good Christian book to read will find my books comforting when they need it, as well as exciting, adventurous and entertaining.

I’m still writing….

To All That Is Good!
