Happy St. Paddy’s Day everyone! I watched a very short video today that teaches you how to pronounce Gaelic words. I think I might return to it and learn a few more words at a later time. The Gaelic language a language unique to the Irish people. As a matter of history, it was revived in Northern Ireland and was given an official recognition as a minority language, for the first time in 1998 under the Good Friday Agreement.
I’ve been to Ireland many times and to hear the people speak this language is mesmerizing. It’s a very different form of language. I love hearing the flight attendants speak over the loudspeaker. Their voices are clear, beautiful and the language flows from their lips with ease. You can tell they were raised with the language. I love listening to languages and accents.
The accent of the Irish is almost a different language to begin with…don’t even get me started on Scotland! They too speak English with a beautiful, hard to grasp, accent. It’s all fun though. There is always plenty of green beer, green milkshakes and green on just about everything. People have to wear green or risk getting pinched! Don’t forget the corned beef and cabbage meal. Whether you’re Irish or love the tradition, it’s a great way to laugh and frolic. May the Luck ‘o the Irish be with you.
Remember! Don’t iron a four leaf clover…you don’t want to press your luck!
Well….I’m in the final stages of the third book in the series, Raven Coulter – Cultivating Lives. It’s been fun once again, to immerse myself into creating something I hope you find interesting to read. Raven and her friends are moving right along in life as they begin to enjoy where they are in life, and each other. The Foundation is embarking on a new project idea! I think you’ll find it as great and benevolent as I do. Romance is still in the air; jealousy enters the picture through an old and cunning creature…no spoiler alerts here! Of course, there is always food, fashion and fun going on.
I’m enjoying the re-reads and the final touches. I’m scheduled for release in May, more like the end of May. I hope you’re as excited to read it as I am to get it published.
Blessings and a little luck never hurt anyone!
Barbee
